The bituminous is a materials are termed as the mixtures of hydrocarbons of natural or pyrogenous origin or combination of both, frequently accompanied by their nonmetallic derivatives, which may be gaseous, liquid, semisolid or solid and are completely soluble in carbon di sulfide. These materials are considered as very important construction materials. They are very strong cements, its durability is high, it has high waterproofing property and it is quickly adhesive. They are used in roofing system, sealants and coatings.
