BIM Builders Information Modelling

BIM has been introduced in 1970. It din't get popular until Auto desk released white paper. 

In India BIM is called as Virtual Design and Construction. It provides 3D models holistic views to the users. It is also a cost saying product for the constructors. Other than modelling is also helps to stores information about the building managements etc. 

Planon software developed COBie Lite to extract data's from the BIM for easy maintenance. Even using COBie Lite contractors can deal easily with the work schedule clashes. When the entire team of a particular project works on a same design maximum errors can be
eliminated. BIM work place also shares for space management, refurbishment projects, and maintenance management. 

By 2016 all public projects will use BIM that incorporates all information of the buildings with single digital modelling.
